We use an International Center Own Program that is a based approach for teaching and learning. This approach fosters children’s intellectual development through systematic focus on symbolic representation, as children are encouraged to explore their environment and express themselves through words, movement, drawing, painting, playing and other natural modes of expression. We trust, respect and value children’s sense of ownership, autonomy and control of their own learning and play.
The teaching method at ICELD incorporates aspects of traditional learning and other modalities of Early Learning Approaches. Our program curriculum is developed by weaving cognitive skills throughout the children’s interests, involving the children as active participants in the construction of knowledge. We provide an environment where education goes beyond the basic skills as children are challenged to observe, investigate, question, analyze, construct meaning and think critically.
